The victim of a dirt bike crash on the outskirts of Otautau on Monday 7th February has now been named.

He was 27-year-old Jeremy Dowling.

Police were alerted to the fatal motorcycle accident on Knutsford Road, Bald Hill just before 3.30pm yesterday.

The person died at the scene.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
