New Zealand's number one tennis player Rubin Statham has won his sixth straight Distinction Hotels Te Anau Tennis Invitational, after beating Wellington's Finn Tearney in a hard fought two set match.
After winning the first set, Statham said the second set turned into a bit of a dogfight with the experienced Tearney trying to neutralise his game by slowing it down.
However Statham finally won the second set to take out the match 6-1 7-5.

Tearney admitted he had gone into the game "physically [not] feeling the best".
He said Statham was a quality player and [was just] too good.
Statham, who is now heading to Australia to pursue his tennis career, urged (to the delight of the crowd) the retiring Tearney to get back into it.
However Tearney insisted that while he would be doing a bit of coaching, he had no plans for any more tennis.
Other games saw Connor Heap take out 3rd place, beating Corban Crowther into 4th, 6-3 6-2, while Rob Reynolds beat Francisco Mendieta 6-2 6-3 to take out 5th and 6th places respectively.
And following yesterday's withdrawal of Alex Klintcharov, up and coming player Tim Willans stepped in to play fellow local Sky Lovill.
Lovill finally won 6-2 6-3.
