Winton and Dipton Volunteer Fire Brigades responded at 5.44pm today (21 March) to a ute fire, north of Centre Bush on State Highway 6.

By the time the brigades arrived the fire had spread into grass and trees.

A witness said the vehicle was a ute with Southroads signage on it.

Southern Fire Communications have confirmed the fire is now extingished.
