The man accused of murdering his wife in Te Anau this year will go on trial in July 2021.
Mr Rodney Stuart Fallowfield, 52, is charged with murdering his wife, Shirley Alaina Reedy, 52, of Balclutha who was found dead on May 15, 2020, at the Explorer Motel and Apartments in Cleddau Street, Te Anau.
Fallowfield appeared in the High Court at Invercargill this morning (September 22) via audio visual link. He entered a not guilty plea in July.

Justice Gerald Nation set a pre-trial callover hearing date for December 8, 2020, with the trial set to start on July 5, 2021.
Police said at the time of the incident in May, they had received information at about 6.35pm that evening to suggest a person had died in the area, and they made inquiries before locating a body at the motel later that evening.
Detective Sergeant Mark McCloy said the victim and the man they arrested had been visitors to Te Anau.
