Medical centres and pharmacies across Southland are this Saturday taking part in Super Saturday, a nationwide campaign to increase vaccination rates ahead of surging Covid-19 community cases in Auckland.
Some southern clinics are also enticing the public with treats including food, coffee and music, while special free buses complete with celebrities will be operating in Invercargill.

It is estimated just 55% of Southlanders are currently fully vaccinated while 21% are still awaiting their second vaccination.
Significantly 24% of Southlanders are yet to be vaccinated.
