Police seek help following Invercargill firearms incident last night

Police are seeking information from the public following a firearms incident on Earn Street, Invercargill at around 7.20pm last night (17 Dec).


Detective Sergeant Mark McCloy said one person was in hospital, but is expected to be discharged later today.


The Armed Offenders Squad attended the incident as a precautionary measure, but no arrests have yet been made.



Multiple scene examinations are ongoing today as Police work to determine the circumstances.


Police are appealing for anyone who saw a white Toyota Camry 2006 in the Earn Street area at the time of the incident.
