One person has died following a fatal crash involving a truck, a car and a house on State Highway 1, near the intersection with Downs Road South at Edendale.

Emergency services were alerted around 10:20pm last night.

Upon arrival they found a truck and car had collided, with the truck then colliding with a house.

Police said one person was located deceased at the scene, while the truck driver had received minor injuries.

There were no injuries sustained by the occupants of the house, Police said.

The Serious Crash Unit and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Team conducted a scene examination.

SH1 is down to one lane with stop/go in place and the road is due to be fully reopened early afternoon.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, Police said.
