One person has died following an accident, involving a truck and a car, on Bluff Highway early this morning (13 July).

The crash, at Stanley Township Road, was reported to emergency services at 6.10am.

State Highway 1 has been closed to all traffic, while the Serious Crash Unit conducted their examination.

No detour is available.

The highway is expected to reopen again, with an under 30km/hr speed restriction, at around 4pm today.
