A suspicious fire at the Cook Islands Christian Church in Invercargill today (10 Feb) has sparked a call to the public for assistance by Police.

Detective Sergeant Chris Lucy from Invercargill's CIB is seeking anyone who may have witnessed or took footage of the fire, or saw any suspicious activity near the McQuarrie Street address around 12pm – 1.30pm today, to let them know.

Information can be shared with Police by calling 105, or anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
