A just completed major upgrade to ILT’s Head Office will not only improve access to the Trust's offices, but also ensure the building has a greener footprint.

The office, above Centrepoint Liquor on Dee Street, has not only seen its roof and windows replaced but also solar panels, a new Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system and upgraded insulation installed.

The opportunity was also taken during construction to redesign and modernise the office layout, in an effort to improve efficiencies and make the space more welcoming.

ILT chair Paddy O’Brien said the Trust was advancing on its sustainability journey.

"The installation of solar panels is a key component of our broader strategy," he said.

"This effort, in conjunction with other projects like the Ascot Park Boiler conversion and ILT’s nursery development, demonstrates our commitment to improving energy efficiency where possible."

“It’s really pleasing to progress with this project, whilst also continuing to support the community.”

Naylor Love Project Manager Nick Jones said they were delighted that ILT shared their vision towards sustainability.

“ILT incorporated energy saving design features within the fit out and as the construction company, we saw our role in reducing waste sent to landfill."

"Through collaboration with our subcontractors and suppliers we were able to achieve 40% of all demolition waste, and onsite construction waste being diverted from landfill,” Jones said.
