Fiordland Lobster Company is dedicated to the sustainable fishing and live export of wild-caught Southern Rock Lobster. Started by fishers in New Zealand’s breathtakingly beautiful Fiordland National Park in the 1980s, the company has grown to become the largest supplier of the most prized lobster in the world.
We are looking for an energetic team member to join us to support both our New Zealand and Australian operations. Fiordland Lobster Company has operations throughout New Zealand and in three states of Australia. This role oversees the management of the HR and Payroll functions in both countries. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, working alongside managers, staff and external providers, this is a role which offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge.

Requirements
Strong knowledge and understanding gained through previous New Zealand payroll experience, including experience in payroll operations from start to finish payroll processing.
Knowledge and understanding of New Zealand Payroll related legalisation and amendments including the Holidays Act 2003, Employment Relations Act 2000, Kiwisaver Act 2006, Minimum Wage Act, Parental Leave Act, Employment Law, Privacy Act etc, would also be an advantage.
Knowledge of, or willingness to understand applicable Australian Payroll related legislation.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with the ability to support fellow team members, and managers and staff from the wider business.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Knowledge of Payroll systems and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, with a willingness to learn and administrate new systems.
This is a full-time position based in Te Anau office. We are open to intermediate Payroll or HR professionals who are eager to step up.
