Southland Greyhound Racing Club's celebration of 30 years of racing at Invercargill's Ascot Park Raceway has been postponed.
Racing will still take place on Sunday, but the club's committee is extremely conscious of the Covid rules so has unanimously decided to postpone the celebrations they had planned for the day.
The club first raced at Ascot Park Raceway on Saturday, 14 September, 1991 and Sunday's race meeting would have marked the 30 year anniversary, almost to the day.

Southland Greyhound Club Secretary Bronwyn Eade says: "Unfortunately we cannot have any general public at our race meeting on Sunday due to number restrictions.
"We are able to have travelling trainers/handlers from Christchurch etc. together with owners and club members but obviously we are restricted to the numbers allowed in Level 2.
"We will look at holding a big celebration for our 30th Anniversary to involve the public sometime in the future.”
