Police have arrested four more people following a firearms incident on Earn Street, Invercargill on Saturday 17 December.

This followed the execution of a number of search warrants across Invercargill.

Police had initially arrested a 23-year-old man on Tuesday.

The men, aged between 17 and 28, have been charged with aggravated robbery and wounding with intent to cause injury.

They will appear in the Invercargill District Court on 9 and 13 January.

Acting Detective Sergeant Jordan Edwards said Police would like to thank the public for their assistance and that inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
