The driver of a car that crashed with a milk tanker on State Highway 99 earlier this month has died in hospital.

He was 47-year-old Gregory James Olsen, from Wrights Bush

The crash happened on the Riverton-Wallacetown Highway about 9.55pm on Friday November 20.

Mr Olsen died at Dunedin Hospital yesterday.

Police said the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the crash and has not yet spoken to Police is urged to contact 105, quoting file number 201121/7157.
