Cultivation

Alex Reid Contracting have the knowledge and experience to help you get the most out of your land.

We operate top of the line Grizzly Discs – developed for use on large and small farms, Overum Ploughs which are manufactured in Sweden by a long-standing plough specialist, Taege Direct Drills, for accurate seeding, and Duncan Roller Drills for efficient seeding.

Effluent services including muck spreading

We operate four Keenan Muck Spreaders which are designed to have a large output, making it time effective. It is also developed to spread all types of effluent and has an accurate control system for consistent application.

Our high-quality, modern equipment also includes a 16,000 litre Joiskin Slurry Tanker for sumps and smaller effluent ponds, an Umbilical Slurry System for efficient removal of and spreading of large amounts of effluent from ponds, Pond Stirrers and a Bobcat for cleaning out calf sheds and yards of any type or size.

Lane work

We are specialists in farm maintenance and lane building with two diggers ranging from 13-20 tonne, high grade roller tractors and trailers, a grader and trucks available.

Sheep conveying

Alex Reid Contracting provides sheep conveying services locally throughout Southland. Our sheep conveyors are designed specifically for large or small flocks, and run by experienced, able staff.
