Summer Sounds Bluff returned to the Gunpit on Bluff Hill on Sunday (29 Jan) and so too did the crowds as good numbers turned out to be entertained after a one-year hiatus due to crowd restrictions in 2022.
They gathered to enjoy the music of Darcy Kerr, JEM and BackChat with proceedings getting underway with duo Melissa Brown and Don Rangitaawa.

The weather was superb with the crowd enjoying the music under sun umbrellas, small tents and shady spots where possible.
The concert which utilises the World War 2 Coastal Defence Battery Observation Post was first used for a concert in 2018 and has been a popular venue ever since due to its wonderful atmosphere.
Summer Sounds is a Bluff Promotions event with the support of the Creative Communities Scheme, Bluff Engineering & Welding, i Hire Invercargill, the Department Of Conservation and Te Rūnanga O Awarua.
