The Community Trust South (CTS), one of the souths largest community funders, is looking for up to three new trustees.
The Invercargill based trust was established in 1988, following the deregulation of the banking industry, when Trust Bank Southland was converted into a company.
CTS is now responsible for an investment fund of around $250 million, with grants distributed within Southland, the Wakatipu Basin, Tapanui and Heriot.
Previous major grants have included the Murihiku Marae Redevelopment, the Southland Charitable Hospital, the Deep Cove Outdoor Education Trust and the Fiordland Trails Trust.
Expressions of Interest for trustee positions close on Monday 16 January at 5pm, with the Minister of Finance having final say on any appointments.
Current trustees include Bill Moran (Queenstown), Kirsty Pickett (Te Anau), Aimee Kaio (Bluff), David Goble (Invercargill), Leanne Samuel (Invercargill), Leon Hartnett (Invercargill), Melanie Montgomery (Central Southland), Stephen Canny (Invercargill) and Mana Whenua endorsed Trustee Louise Fowler (Awarua/Bluff).
Moran, Canny and Goble are about to complete their first term as Trustees, with Moran and Canny both being available for re-appointment.
As well as seeking nominations from the CTS, the Finance Minister can also receive nominations directly.
