A 68-year-old man has been arrested on sexual assault charges following an incident on the Te Anau lakefront on 25th January.

The man, who was from out of town, is due to appear in Invercargill District Court today (30 Jan). 

Police said they were unable to make any further comments as the matter is now before the courts.
