On Thursday the 15th January 2026, Irene passed away peacefully in the care of the lovely people at Ribbonwood Country Home.

Aged 91 years.

Soul mate to Terry*, special sister to Lorraine*, Ermyne* and Earle*, and cherished daughter to Rose* and Hector*.

Loving Mum and Mother in Law, to Russell and Kristine, Robyn and Colin, Vivienne and Greg Beaton, Hillary and Tony Waller, Jenny and Simon Broad.

And proud Grandma to Hannah, Hayden, Jordan, Laurel, Shenna, Struan, Monica, Conor, Rachel, Caleb, Courtney, Jerome, Andre, Sophie, Jay, Taine and all 19 Great Grandchildren.

On Tuesday 20th January, a private graveside service will be held for Irene followed by an informal gathering at the Waikaia Hotel.

We wish to invite family friends to join us at the hotel, at 3pm, to share stories and memories of Irene.
