Winning Lotto ticket sold in Invercargill

An Invercargill Lotto player is $333,333 richer after sharing a Lotto first division win in last night's draw.

The top prize went to a MyLotto Powerball player from Auckland who won $5.3 million. The $5.3 million prize is made up of $5 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division.

This is the second time in a week that Powerball has been struck after another Auckland MyLotto player scooped themselves $16.2 million with Powerball last Wednesday. The lucky winner plans to use their winnings to help out family and friends and also travel to the Rugby World Cup.

The other two first division winners from last night's draw were the Invercargill ticket and one from Christchurch who each win $333,333. The winning tickets were sold at Windsor New World in Invercargill and St Martins New World Supermarket in Christchurch.

Meanwhile, Strike Four was also won tonight by a player from Hamilton, who took home $100,000. The winning Strike ticket was sold at Countdown Claudelands in Hamilton.
