Electrician

An exciting opportunity to utilise your trade qualification in this new role where you'll assist in developing an in-house electrical engineering capability for our marine division.

About the Role

Reporting to the Marine Maintenance Manager, it'll be your responsibility to assist in the development of our electrical engineering capability within the Real Journeys and Go Orange Asset Management Division.

Your primary focus will be on the delivery of electrical engineering leadership and oversight of planned and defect maintenance within the marine section.

You'll also assist the Infrastructure and On-Road sections where required.

This is an exciting, hands-on role with a future focus on the transition to electric mobility of our vessel and on-road fleets and will extend you into the realm of engineering management.

As part of this role you will:

• Focus on the delivery of electrical engineering leadership
• Oversee planned and defect maintenance within the marine division
• Provide advice and guidance to support the development and planning of maintenance support and capital projects

Skills & Experience

• Relevant trade qualification, NZ Electrician's registration and current NZ practicing licence are essential
• Qualified, or experience, in industrial control and automation would be beneficial
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a registered electrician working in a commercial/industrial environment with a preference for marine
• You'll be highly organised, with proven leadership and communication skills
• We're looking for an enthusiastic team player with a strong attention to detail
