A police search for a missing fisherman at Glenorchy has been suspended today (July 13) and will resume at 8am tomorrow.
The Police National Dive Squad arrived in Glenorchy to assist with the search of an overdue fisherman early this afternoon.
They conducted a water based search before suspending the search at 5pm.
Queenstown police were alerted to the overdue fisherman about 3.20pm on Sunday (July 12).
The angler went missing in Lake Wakatipu near Benmore Place. A friend who was fishing a short distance away reported the angler was overdue.
The angler was reported to have been fishing near the shore before being reported missing.
A shoreline search was undertaken yesterday, and a search of the shore from the water is currently occurring.
The Police National Dive Squad is expected to be deployed later today.
