Police have named the man who died following a crash on Dunns Road near Oreti Beach, Invercargill on Saturday, November 7.

He was Kerry Peter Owens, aged 43, of Invercargill.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.

Police were called to the crash on Dunns Road, Otatara, just before 1.30am on Saturday.

A car had hit a power pole and Mr Owens, the single occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.
