Police remain tight lipped about their investigation which involved an area of interest on the Te Anau foreshore yesterday.
A Police Media Centre spokeperson said this afternoon (27 Jan) that Police are aware of an incident and are looking into it and making inquiries.

Police cordoned off a section of Te Anau's foreshore, in and around RealNZ's lakefront booking office and i-Site, this afternoon (26 Jan).

Up to a dozen officers including detectives were in attendance. Some wore rubber gloves while others were seen putting on white boiler suits.
Officers at the scene indicated there had been a complaint and directed all further inquiries to their Police Media Centre (PMC).

The PMC said the area was cordoned off as part of an ongoing investigation, which was currently in its early stages.
