One person has died and another remains in a critical condition, following a crash on the Winton Lorneville Highway (SH6), near Gap Road East, on Tuesday 21st January.

Police confirmed the person who died as Thachawalai Youngdaeng of Thailand.

Two people were transported to hospital in a critical condition while four others received minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash.

Police said the person had passed away yesterday (25 Jan) as a result of the injuries sustained.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, they said.
