Police confirmed one person died following a two-vehicle crash on Chelmsford St, Invercargill yesterday morning.

He was Neil John Van Schaik of Invercargill.

Emergency services were notified of the crash at 10:20am.

Initial reports suggested one person was seriously injured and another had moderate injuries. 

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
