One person has died and SH 1 at Greenhills, south of the Omaui intersection, was closed after a serious crash this afternoon (12 Feb).

The single vehicle crash was alerted to Police around 12.30pm.

Diversions are in place however motorists should expect delays.

The road was reopened to northbound traffic at 1pm.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
