UPDATED: SH1 reopens (6.57pm, 17 Dec)

A fire has closed State Highway 1 near Edendale.

The highway is closed at the top of the Edendale Hill, between St Ronans Road and Scenic Reserve Road.

Motorists are asked to delay their journey or consider an alternate route.
