UPDATE: SH1 Bluff Highway is now open and traffic is moving.

An accident has closed the Bluff Highway, just south of Motu Rimu Road, this morning (5 May).

Due to the location no detour is available, however Motu Rimu Road is still accessible.

NZTA contractors South Roads advised they will have the highway open as soon as possible.
