The Southland Rural Support Trust (SRST) is seeking to appoint Trustees at its AGM on 15 May 2024. 

SRST assists rural individuals and their families to get back on their feet following challenging circumstances.

In addition to governance skills, trustees are expected to have empathy with and understanding of rural life. 

Trustees of SRST act in both Governance and Operational capacities.

With an increasing workload the Board is currently revising SRST’s structure.

Our two Trustee Coordinators are stepping down from Trustee roles to focus on the operations side of the Trust.

This separates governance and operations, with an expectation that there will be a reduction in operational input required from Trustees.
