The Southland Sports Car Club will hold its annual Evolution Motorsport ClubSport Triathlon at Teretonga Park in Invercargill on Sunday (18 April).
This is a non-championship event featuring a standing quarter mile and a grass motorkhana in the morning, and an Autocross event in the afternoon.
The motorkhana will take place on an area of the Teretonga Park grounds that has only recently become available.

The event provides newcomers an opportunity to have a go at entry level motorsport or to merely come along for a no obligation look to see if it is for them.
A helmet is required for the sprint and the club can provide these.
Overalls and a helmet are required for the Autocross.
Southland Sports Car Club ClubSport co-ordinator Malcolm Mitchell said there had been a very enjoyable season of ClubSport.
“It is a real pleasure to watch young ones come into the sport. They are a little nervous at first, you see their confidence grow and soon they are smashing it. It has also been great to have a lot of families involved . . . the whole atmosphere around ClubSport is one of great camaraderie. That is why I do what I do. It is the satisfaction of seeing people competing and having a ball,” Mr Mitchell said.
Entries for the motorkhana and quarter mile sprint will be taken from 8.30am on the morning of the event ($25 per driver) and action should get underway at 9.30am.
Anyone 12 years old and over can have a go in any car of WOF standard or else use the Evolution Motorsport Nissan Sentra for an extra cost of $20. Entry to compete in the Autocross is $40.
