The Milford Road (SH94) is closed, from Cascade Creek, and not expected to open to at least Monday, after multiple treefalls, slips and flood damage.

An avalanche hazard also exists.

Milford Road Duty Manager Kirsty Youldon said damage on the West side of the Homer Tunnel is still unknown.

The road is expected to remain closed until at least Monday while clearance work and repairs are undertaken.
