An upgrade to Vodafone's tower in Winton is causing some minor disruptions to customers in the area.
Numerous complains have been made on Facebook about Vodafone coverage over the last week, with several readers contacting the Advocate South to raise concerns over the issue.
One reader described the coverage as turning to "custard" and that it had caused issues with both cell and internet connections.
A Vodafone spokeswoman confirmed that work had been taking place at Winton since the beginning of last month and said minor interruptions were necessary for the work to be finished.
"There has been extensive upgrade work ongoing at our Winton site from the beginning of May. Unfortunately while the work is being carried out, service is intermittently interrupted to ensure the safety of staff on site,"
The spokeswoman said work was expected to be finished by June 10, weather permitting, and that customers "will have a noticeably improved service' when the work is completed.
