Environment Southland's Regional Forum will be hosting a panel discussion around how tourism relates to freshwater in the Waiau area.
The forum, titled "Facing our Future: Tourism and Recreation", will have speakers from the Department of Conservation, Real Journeys and Destination Fiordland, followed by a time for questions.
The Regional Forum is a panel of Southlanders that advises Environment Southland and Te Ao Marama on the methods to achieve the communities’ values and objectives for freshwater.
Environment Southland says public sessions like this one provide an opportunity for stakeholders and community members to share perspectives that are important to them.
This public session forms part of the third workshop for the forum members. All workshops, including public sessions, are facilitated by Barbara Nicholas.
"Facing our Future: Tourism and Recreation" will take place at the Distinction Te Anau Hotel and Villas on Thursday, June 20 from 6.00pm to 7.30pm.
Refreshments provided from 6.00pm.
