Police have named the two people who died in separate crashes in Southland last month.

Motorcyclist James Keith Heathcote, 60, of Invercargill died following a crash on Tiwai Road in Invercargill on March 19.

Kieran Atirau Mahuika, 28, also of Invercargill, died following a crash on Tiwai Road shortly before midnight on 26 March.

Police extends its sympathies to their families and friends at this time.
