A three-year-old child has died after being struck by a vehicle in a driveway at a residential address in Gore around 6:30pm on 1 January.

The child died in Gore Hospital a short time later.

Police said investigators were not treating the death as suspicious at this time.

This had followed considerable work, including with the ESR at the scene.

The investigations team will continue to make inquiries on behalf of the Coroner, Police said.
