Te Anau's official i-Site is up for grabs following RealNZ's decision to relinquish the Fiordland town's popular information hub after 30 years.
The Visitor Information Network (VIN Inc.) who trade as i-Site New Zealand, is a subsidiary of Tourism New Zealand.
Great South General Manager Tourism and Events, Mark Frood, said RealNZ had decided to exit the information network so that it could focus on it's core business.
Frood said the next step was for VIN Inc. to gauge the interest from any companies' or individuals who may may wish to take on the i-Site brand in Te Anau.
The successful applicant would need to be within walking distance to key locations including car and coach parking, long range bus and shuttle services, as well as being close to attractions such as retail, hospitality, cultural and visitor experiences.
Interested parties should contact Great South, who will then forward their details on to VIN Inc., Frood said.
RealNZ is expected to cease the i-Site service no later than 31st April 2024.
