Hunters, their mates and families from across Otago and Southland are expected to turn out in force for the 10th anniversary of the Fiordland Big 3, a teams hunting competition and family day hosted by the Te Anau Rugby Club on Kings Birthday Weekend (Jun 1-4).
Hunting will begin from 7pm on Thursday, 1st Jun, with teams aiming to bag a deer, pig and a pest before the official weigh-in deadline of 2pm on Sunday, 4th June.
A pest can be a possum, Canada goose, magpie, hare, rabbit, stoat or ferret, while children may also choose a mouse or rat.
