Te Anau's Friends of the Library group will be holding its 26th annual Queen's Birthday weekend book sale this weekend.
The Fiordland Community Events Centre will be filled with pre-loved reads of all genres this weekend, with prices as low as 10c a book.
Proceeds from the book sale will go towards community group Friends of the Library, with a donation given to the Te Anau Scouts for their help with the event.
Friends of the Library chairwoman Marilyn Hunter said the sale was also a service to the community's families by offering good quality children's books at the low price of 10c a book.
It's a price she said had not been raised since their first book sale more than a quarter of century ago.
As always, people who came to the sale earlier than later had a better opportunity to get some good reads for a great price.
People still looking to donate their own tomes to the sale could do so by dropping them off at the Te Anau Library prior to the sale or at the events centre during the sale on Saturday.
The Friends of the Library Queen's Birthday Book Sale will take place at the Fiordland Community Events Centre on Friday, May 31 from 6pm to 9pm, and Saturday, June 1 from 9am to 4pm.
