Country music royalty and powerhouse vocalist Tami Neilson is set to perform at this year’s prestigious Country Music Honours event in Gore on 23rd May.
The Country Music Honours, part of the Tussock Country Music Festival, showcase some of New Zealand's best country songwriters and recording artists. Audiences will also get to hear not only the top ten unreleased songs nominated for the MLT Songwriting Award but also performances from the finalists for the coveted APRA Best Country Song.
Neilson has captivated audiences worldwide with her blend of classic country, rockabilly and soul, and have attracted the adoration of audiences around the globe - including American country music heavyweights Ashley McBryde and the one and only Willie Nelson.
NZ Songwriter’s Trust chairperson Vanessa Harvey said Neilson was a force of nature and they were privileged she was bringing her musical magic to this year's Honours event.
“I’ll never forget the first time I saw Tami live in Gore and we’re so excited to welcome her back to the country music capital in 2025.”
Country Music Honours entries close on Monday 17th March.
