Worrying is normal and can even help us to solve challenges. However, too much worry can become a problem.
Unfortunately, worries usually only show us the very worst possible outcomes. Focusing on these alone gets us stuck in a negative space, leading to further worry and a sense of helplessness.
We can’t stop worry altogether, but we can learn how to effectively work through our worried thoughts when they show up. Learning how to explore worries from different perspectives helps us discover other explanations or solutions we may have overlooked. This helps us feel more confident and positive, allowing us to let worries go so we can focus on what matters to us in life.
This 'worry chart' can help you work through worried thoughts so you can begin to balance your thinking, take charge of difficult situations and let worries go.
