Exciting opportunity for characters with a passion for people and the outdoors to join our Stewart Island Experience team showcasing our iconic kiwi as well as our renown kiwi hospitality!
About the Roles
Experience Crew Guide (Permanent, Full Time)
× Guide small groups of people at night in the hopes of seeing Kiwi
× Deliver daytime tours to the pristine forest covered Ulva Island
× Drive and deliver village and bay small coach tours informing on the history and environment of Stewart Island
× Crew on vessels
× Provide top customer service and activity information at our visitor centre
Lodge Crew – Stewart Island Lodge (Permanent, Full Time)
× Coordinate day-to day guest requirements
× Serve breakfast and advise of off-site dining options for lunch and dinner
× Assist with housekeeping of rooms and communal areas
× Ensure the Lodge is presented to the highest standard at all times
Wharf Assistant (Fixed Term, Full Time)
× Provide forklift services
× Assist with the management of freight items
× Ensure equipment is operating and maintained
× Comply with maritime safety regulations
Skills & Experience
× We are looking for those who have manaakitanga central to all they deliver and are proud to act as a kaitiaki for our environment
× Proactive communicators with the ability to anticipate customers' needs
× Previous experience in a guiding, hosting, housekeeping or freight & logistics preferred but not essential as training will be provided
× A full, clean NZ Driver’s Licence held for at least 2 years is essential for the Experience Crew Guide role
× Most importantly you’ll be a proven team player who enjoys doing what's required to ensure a remarkable customer experience
