Southland's famous Beehive party is, after a 3-year hiatus, all set to return to Parliament's Grand Hall on Friday 23 June.
Organisers expect up to 220 ex-pat Southlanders living in Wellington, resident in the south or connected to the province will attend the event.
Southland Party organising committee chair Brian Finn said the event was a great chance to celebrate all that is good about the province.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for Southlanders to get together, have a yarn, eat some world-class Southland food and share a few drinks."
"It’s also a chance to fly the flag for Southland in the capital."
“It’s always a cracking night so we’re urging any Southlanders based in Wellington and elsewhere around the country to get a ticket and come along,” Finn said.
A portion of the proceeds will go to this year’s official charity, Hawthorndale Care Village in Invercargill.
