SH6 is now closed at the Makarewa River, between Branxholme-Makarewa Road to Breeze Road, due to flooding.

SH99 is also closed between Lornville and Wallacetown.

Anyone wishing to travel to Winton from Invercargill will now have to detour via Mataura.

SH1 is closed between Mataura and Gore, but a detour is in place.

However SH6 between Kingston and Parawa is now open to one lane. There is debris on the highway in this area, so please drive with caution.

In the Gore District area, please drive with caution on SH94 near the Otamita Stream area, there is surface flooding which is increasing.
