Please see the areas of the Southland state highway network where you are likely to experience delays this coming week due to programmed works.
Work has now finished on state highways in Southland for the Easter and Southland Anniversary holidays and will resume on Wednesday 3rd April.
Highways South work with traffic management in place (all with temporary speed limits):
- SH1 Clyde St between Earn and Nith streets, southbound lanes closed with detour via Earn/Nith Streets. Heavy traffic on Bond St heading south to use Annan/Crinan and then Earn/Nith st detour. *ongoing for 3-4 weeks
- SH1 East Road near Kennington, temporary traffic lights for pavement repairs
- SH93 Old Coach Road near Three Stones Road, temporary traffic lights for pavement repairs
- SH93 Old Coach Road near Jeff Road, temporary traffic lights for pavement repairs
- SH93 Old Coach Road near Hurst Road, temporary traffic lights for pavement repairs
- SH96 Winton-Hedgehope highway near Deveraux Road, temporary traffic lights for drainage
Third party work and events with traffic management in place this week (all with temporary speed limits):
- SH1 Gore St Bluff between Shannon and Suir streets, traffic lights for cycle path work
- SH1 Gore St Bluff, northbound lane closed with detour via Lee/Barrow/Palmer for demolition work
- SH1 Bluff highway at Kew, stop/go for asset inspections
- SH93 Mataura, stop/go for accessway work
- SH96 Glencoe highway near Te Tipua, stop/go for tree trimming *Friday 5th only
