Westbound closure – SH1 East Road Invercargill (continues)

PowerNet & SouthRoads continue to work on SH1 East Road in Invercargill as part of the wider upgrade to build a new 66kV electricity distribution line, and may take up to eight weeks.

During this time, SH1 East Road between Mill Road North and Racecourse/Rockdale Road will be closed in the westbound direction from 16th June. Detour for all westbound (Invercargill bound) traffic via Mill Road North/Findlay Road/Racecourse Road.

Highways South work with temporary traffic lights and temporary speed limits this week:

• SH6 North Road Invercargill between McIvor and Bainfield Roads
• SH94 Waimea highway near Croydon Bush
• SH94 Te Anau-Mossburn highway near Centre Bush

Third party work and events with traffic management in place this week:

• SH1 Clyde St, lane drop for watermains work
• SH1 East Road Invercargill, westbound closure and detour as above
• SH6 Athol Five Rivers Highway at Athol, stop/go for accessway construction
• SH94 Lumsden-Riversdale highway at Walker Road, traffic lights for gabion basket work
• SH96 Winton-Wreys Bush highway at Heddon Bush, stop/go for culvert replacement
• SH99 Clifden Highway, stop/stop for tree felling
