Cyclists will be taking to Southland's roads tomorrow as part of the 2019 SBS Bank Tour of Southland, meaning drivers should take note of several planned road closures and speed restrictions over the course of the week from November 3 - 9. 

Monday, November 4

State Highway 1 (Invercargill to Lumsden) 

There will be a mobile Stop/Go with a 30km/h temporary speed restriction in place on Monday, November 4, between 10am and 2:30pm. Take extra care and expect significant delays along this route during this time.

State Highway 6 (Lumsden) 

This section of road will be closed on Monday, November 4 between 1:30pm and 3pm. Plan your journey accordingly

Tuesday, November 5

State Highways 95 and 99 (Riverton to Te Anau) 

There will be a mobile Stop/Go with a 30km/h temporary speed restriction in place on Tuesday, November 5 between 10am and 2:15pm. Take extra care and expect significant delays along this route during this time.

Wednesday, November 6

State Highway 6 (Mossburn to Kingston)

There will be a mobile Stop/Go with a 30km/h temporary speed restriction in place on Wednesday, November 6 between 10:30am and 2:15pm. Take extra care and expect significant delays along this route during this time.

Thursday, November 7

State Highway 1 (Invercargill to Bluff) 

There will be a mobile Stop/Go with a 30km/h temporary speed restriction in place on Thursday 7th November between 10am and 2:15pm. Take extra care and expect significant delays along this route during this time.

Friday, November 8

State Highway 94 (Gore, between Traford Street and Lyne Street)

This section of road will be closed on Friday, November 8 between 1:30pm and 3pm. Plan your journey accordingly
