Fairfax-Isla Bank Road, Isla Bank, Southland, is closed at the intersection of Isla Bank-Flints Bush Road following a serious crash this morning.

The crash, involving two vehicles, was reported to emergency services around 8.40am.

The Serious Crash Unit have been notified.

Road closure signs are now at Fairfax Isla Bank and Argyle Road/Baxter Road and Isla Bank Flints Bush Road /Lindsay Calcium Road and Robertson Road/Teviotdale and Fairfax Isla Bank Road.

There is no signed detour in place and the road will be closed until further notice.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
