Labour's Rino Tirikatene has a 3107-vote lead in the Te Tai Tonga electorate with 26.3% of the votes counted.

Labour leads the party vote in the southern Maori electorate on 60.8%, with the Green Party attracting the next highest number of votes so far on 11.1%.
