WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING?

Still good gardening conditions in between the showers, we do need the rain to wash in the fertilizer and moss killer on the lawn. Everyone should have a black lawn by now, to prove they have done something about the moss in the lawn problem. Tunnelhouses and glasshouses are getting the first lettuce and potatoes planted and some even the first early tomatoes. Soil temperatures outside are still a bit cold, but it doesn't hurt to turn the ground over to help get the air into it to dry out.

New in our shop this week: Gladioli bulbs,a great range of colours, green, blue and even black. Vege plants are growing everyday. We have a good range now to plant. Flower plants, still a bit small, but we do have hardly varieties such as: cornflower, pansy and still plenty of polys. Fertilizer sales have been up this week, get the garden fed up for best results, even trees like a side dressing, especially flowering cherries, give them some potash.
